"This month we have chosen Casper as our player of the month, not only has he helped out and shared the role of goalkeeper putting in some brilliant performances, he is also becoming a solid little defender showing a lot of determination trying to win the ball.

Caspers attitude and willingness to listen is top notch!

This goes to Alby.

He has really impressed all of the coaches this month. He's a consistent performer and willing to play anywhere.

The things we have worked on in training this month, Alby has added to his game.

this is really pleasing for us because it shows that he's listening and learning.

His link up play and awareness of his teammates is excellent too.

Keep up the good work Alby and keep smiling. "

Under 9 - Wayne

" U9 Player of the month goes to Kian!

Kian is one of our newest team members, but boy has he fitted right in! Kian sometimes struggles with his confidence so was given the word "Emotions "for him to concentrate on over the next few weeks. He has really taken this on board and worked on channelling those emotions into passion on that pitch.

It's definitely paying off!! When he believes in himself, he is a force to be reckoned with and has the support of a great set of lads around him.

He is such a lovely, polite lad with a gorgeous smile, and he's definitely got a bright footballing future ahead of him.

Under 10 Blues - Paul

" In a month that has included a cup final victory and the continuation of the U10 Blue's unbeaten start to the 2022/23 season we can be proud of some excellent individual and team performances from all of our boys throughout October.

However, this is player of the month so......

Our standout player of the month for October has been a boy who has just been getting better and better throughout 2022. He is adding more to his game, not only can he beat a man, but we are seeing him get his head up now and look for that pass now, performances are consistently of a high standard, he has a great attitude, a willingness to work hard and always battle for his teammates.

He is always positive, we love his delicate footwork and strength in and around the box, 8 goals in October and a brilliant all action cameo from the subs bench in our recent final, driving us forward to victory.....

" Our player of the month is Annie.

Annie, she has been amazing fr the first half of the season, works really hard for the team and is a rock at the back.

You should be very proud of yourself Annie, keep up the hard work our little superstar

Under 11 Whites - Lucy

" Elsecar Main White under 11's player of the month for October is Oliver.

Oliver plays in goal, and we all know it's the most challenging of positions especially within a new team and a position that is often overlooked for player of the match.

Oliver has made fantastic progress throughout both September and October and has kept his team in the game with some great saves.

One opposing manager asking if we got him from City!!

Oliver attends a weekly goalkeeping 1:1 session and his skills, speed, concentration and decision making have all improved massively.
