Match Report: Elsecar Main JFC U11's 7-1 Millhouses Juniors U11's
We entertained Millhouses Juniors Under 11's in the 1st round of the Cup and we started the game very brightly with a very positive approach and this soon paid off with an early goal from Jack Lumb when he slotted the ball home past an advancing 'keeper. Young Jack then proceeded to score another three goals in a fifteen minute spell and was virtually unplayable by the visitors. The whole team passed the ball and ran into space very well during the first half - this was undoubtedly our best spell of football all season.
Noah Mitchell came on upfront midway through the first half and proved to be a real handful for the visitors defence with his constant pressing when he was out of possession. Noah was rewarded with a couple of poachers goals and helped us to a very comfortable 6-0 half-time lead.
The second half started brightly again with the boys being on the front foot but the visitors managed to get a goal back after an initial excellent save by Charlie Hollows. Not deterred by this the boys kept going forward and created several chances before Lucca Ciampracotti slotted home a low drive into the bottom corner after a breakaway from the half way line.
The game finished 7-1 and we now progress into the quarter finals next week with an away game at Dodworth MW.
