Coach's Notes

Matt (Under 7's) -

Oliver has improved loads over this season. His understanding of the game has improved a lot. January has been by far his best month in both training and games. He is running with the ball more and lifting his head to find a pass to his team mates.

At the beginning of the season I asked Oliver to work on his shooting by striking the ball with his laces, and try to get more power into his shots. I can tell he's been practicing on that and he now scores goals regularly.

Practice makes perfect! Well done Oliver

Wayne (Under 8's) -

January Player of the month is Charley.

Charley is in his 2nd season with us now and makes progress week in, week out.

He listens hard and plays with passion. He plays wherever he is asked to without grumbling and has played in almost every position.

Charley has come close to player of the month a couple of times now, and it's always hard when its your own lad but he truly deserves it.

Well done Charley.

Martin (Under 9's) -

Player of the month for January is Oliver.

Oliver has set the bar even higher in the month of January the way he has adapted his game playing in several different positions, enhancing his skill set has been a pleasure to see.

he's always trying hard to get something right and he has that stubborn side where he won't quit.

Well Done Oliver!

Gavin (Under 10's) -

Our under 10's player of the month is Rhys.

he's put in some consistently solid performances even though weve been asking him to try out some different things which have taken him out of his comfort zone but are now starting to pay off.

He's been passing more, trying to bring his team mates into the game, whilst also scoring goals along the way.

Player of the month for January is Harry Scanlon.

The ever improving H. This young man has developed week after week since joining the club in the spring of 2021. Fastly developing his skill set, thus young man is certainly a player to watch.

An all around aggressive midfielder with a great intensity ringing in his game.

He is one of the first names on the team sheet right now and a fully deserved winner for his efforts in January.
