Now we hear from the managers.......

Under 7 - Chris

"As a team we have been working hard on team work. It was a difficult decision to make as all the team have worked hard and are becoming great team players.

But in last weeks match one of our players was injured and Harrison was the first over to see if he was ok."

Under 8 - Matt

" September player of the month, I discussed this with our coaches, Ross and Lee. We had to make a short list for this month. We feel that we've had a few players that deserved it.

We decided on Liam!

Being Liam's dad, I've found it difficult to give awards to Liam over the past few seasons. I've always felt other players have put more effort in, or listened, learned and improved more. That changed this month. I've praised him after every game and training session!! He's been more engaged and has more of an understanding of the game. He's defended really well, timing his tackles, making passes and getting back into position.

The goal line clearance vs Stocksbridge being a personal highlight. He's been Excellent!! I think Liam and I prove that patience is a massive part of junior football and players will develop at their own pace. Keep up the good work!!"

Under 9 - Wayne

" Thomas has shown great determination throughout the summer leading up to the start of the season.

Thomas always plays a key part in our team and will try his hand in any position, always aiming to please. He is a true team player who gives his all every single week.

Thomas has been given a word to focus on over the coming weeks. His word is "confidence".

Thomas is clearly already working on this and he is putting himself forward for different positions and becoming confident in his ability.

He's a polite quiet lad but makes himself known on the pitch with great communication.

Keep up the great work Thomas!

Under 10 Blues - Martin

" U10's Blues Player Of The Month award goes to a young man , who has shown a fantastic work ethic both in training and in matches throughout the month of September.

Let's start with his attitude to learning which has been first class, his willingness to listen and take things on board and then go and improve his game has been a pleasure to see.

Even though some of the training drills get a little hard for him at times, he still gives it a go and keeps trying.

You then go to his improvement in matches, it's all showing. We have had good defensive displays as well as attacking play.

Well done to our player of the month for September #2 Rowan"

Under 10 Whites - John

" Our player of the month is Josh.

Every game he is improving week by week, reading of the game, composure on the ball and passing has been fantastic.

He is our little Josh Van Dijk.

Well done, keep up the good work."

Under 11 Whites - Lucy

" Thomas plays out on the left wing, Thomas attend every training session with enthusiasm to learn and takes what he's learnt into every game.

Thomas has worked hard on his strength and confidence and it's beginning to show on the field.

2 goals in September and many many assists. Thomas is becoming a force to reckon with and someone that the rest of the team look towards for direction within the Under 11 whites team.

Well done Thomas, our player of the month."

Under 11's Blues - Gavin

" Though we're only 3 weeks into the season, Luke has played consistently well in every match, even when asked to play out of position, getting last week's man of the match whilst in defense and playing a big part in us getting that first win of the season.

He's a proper team player, keep it up Luke, really well done mate."

Under 12's - Richard

"Theo has shown a great attitude in training and in games. Playing up a year is not always easy but Theo has made an enormous contribution to the winning results we've had so far and hope his effort and commitment continues.

Well done Theo."

Congratulations to all of our September Player's Of The Month winners!

We are proud of you and your efforts, keep up the excellent work.
